Using real time RF scanning solution iOpensystems improved productivity measured in number of orders processed per hour, reduced number of workers by 15% and reduced support calls significantly.

Case Study: Global Cargo Management System
Client:
Large Supply Chain and Logistics Company
Primary Objective:
Implementation of a brand new flagship product which provides visibility to all goods in the warehouse and also when in transit from the supplier the end customer. System to replace existing legacy and manual intensive system.
Secondary Objective:
Optimize the existing IT processes to support the growth of the business and to ensure that business, development and quality groups worked together in an integrated manner. The client needed specifically to improve their overall requirements management, test strategy, defect tracking and test execution to ensure timely software release.
Solution:
After detailed study of the clients business needs, objectives and issues, iOpenSystems facilitated defining, architecting and implementation of Global Cargo Management System which included a Warehouse and Supplier Management System.
Execution:
Created Flexible Framework to ensure scalability and new businesses additions. Incorporate various existing services such as Billing, Shipping etc to reduce implementation costs. Product was developed using C#. C++ and .NET on Windows XP and Windows CE platform. The hands free mobile devices for scanning barcodes used 802.11 RF and Bluetooth technology.
